The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is officially informing eligible Nigerian candidates about job openings at the West African Health Organization (WAHO).

WAHO, a specialized agency within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), with headquarters in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso.

Mrs. Francisca Omayuli, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ spokesperson, issued a statement on a recent Friday, disclosing that WAHO is presently actively recruiting fifteen Financial Managers, one for each of the ECOWAS member nations.

WAHO’s core mission revolves around delivering top-tier healthcare services to the populations of the West African sub-region.

This mission is underpinned by the harmonization of policies among member states and the collective pooling of resources.

The newly appointed Financial Managers will assume a crucial role in this mission. They will each be integral members of the Steering Committee tasked with allocating financial resources to various countries within WAHO. The allocation of these funds will be contingent on the effective execution of healthcare initiatives financed by the organization.

For individuals interested in pursuing these positions and seeking more details regarding the application process, WAHO’s career portal provides comprehensive information. You can access the portal via this link: [WAHO Career Portal] (https://data.wahooas.org/tenders/tenders/list). The application deadline is set for 18th September 2023, at 12:00 P.M. UTC.
