FCT: LEA Primary School, Kontagora Estate, Gwagwalada Holds Graduation Ceremony

Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT has promised to give priority to the growth of primary education in the Area.

Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Abu Giri made the promise during the Graduation and Prize Giving Day of LEA Primary School, Kontagora Estate, Gwagwalada Abuja.

The Chairman who was represented by his Special Adviser on Education, Mr Yakubu Mohammed described education as the bedrock of development.

He therefore solicited the support of all stakeholders towards enhancing the development of education in the area.

While congratulating the pupils on their graduation, the Chairman advised parents to always give priority to the educational development of their children.

In a remark, the Education Secretary, Gwagwalada Area Council, Dr Mamman Musa said primary schools in the area are been adequately equipped to enhance teaching and learning.

Dr Musa stressed the need for teachers in the area to always compliment the efforts of the Council towards realizing its mandate in the area of education.

Earlier in his address, the Headmaster of LEA Primary School, Kontagora Estate, Gwagwalada Abuja, Mr Gbemileke Moses stated that the school is being repositioned towards ensuring qualitative education for pupils in the school.

Mr Gbemileke who commended the support of teachers and staff of the school towards service delivery stated that necessary measures would be put in place to maintain education standards in the school.

He solicited continuous collaboration and support of Parents Teachers Association, PTA of the school for better teaching and learning as well as conducive environment for the pupils.

Highlights of the graduation ceremony were cultural performance, debate, choreography, news casting, presentation of awards and prizes for graduating pupils and staff.
