Etsu Karu: my reign ‘ll continue to galvanize peace, unity in Nasarawa

The Etsu Karu and Chairman Karu traditional council in Nasarawa state, Pharmacist Luka Panya Baba has given assurance that his reign as the Etsu Karu will continue to collaborate with other traditional rulers in the country, work towards ensuring peace, unity of Nasarawa and Nigeria
The monarch who spoke during the 20th Aniversary of his throne in Karu, Nasarawa state said his 20 years as the Etsu Karu has overcome several challenges, but added that through dialogue,understanding, council have bridged the divide and brought together people of different faith and backgrounds.
“For two decades, I have the privilege of serving Karu people as a leader and together, we have achieved great things.
“Our gathering here today is to celebrate a remarkable milestone in the history of Karu Chiefdom. This occasion provides us the opportunity to reflect on our past, celebrate the present and look forward with hope and faith”, the monarch stated.
Appreciating the great role played by the Chiefdom, Pharmacist Luka Panya Baba also lauded the the past administrations and the administration of governor Abdullahi Sule in ensuring that peace and unity remained his cardinal agenda in Nasarawa state .
The monarch who appealed to Nigerians to support the administration of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu to succeed, noted the pride that Tinubu government will continue to foster environmental growth in Nigeria.
Speaking at the occasion, Speaker, House of Representatives, RT Hon Abbas Tajudeen, Senator Phip Adidas amongst others who were conferred with various Chieftaincy titles called for unity of purpose amongst Nigerians.
While recognizing the role of the traditional rulers in nation building, the Lawmakers promised to strengthen the institutional framework of the traditional rulers in the country to guarantee their role as custodian of culture, peace unity and traditions
The 20th anniversary of the Etsu Karu was a historic and an epoch event which drew over 21 Traditional rulers from across the country also brought together 27 ethnic groups from plateau, Borno, Benue Kaduna, Niger and Akwa Ibom.
Guests at the event include: Rt Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, RT Hon Speaker of the Nasarawa State Assembly, Danladi Jatau, former FCT minister, Lt General Jeremiah T.Useni, Professor Jerry Gana , Honourable Jonathan Gaza.
Others are senator Philip Aduda, chairman Nasarawa State Traditional Council of Chiefs ,Justice Sidi Bage and the Mai Kaltongo amongst others
