Employment Scam: Police arrest syndicates, launch manhunt for principal suspect in Nasarawa

Police in Nasarawa state have commenced manhunt for principal of the suspected syndicates scamming residents of the state for Employment

This is even as the Command said it has arrested one Emmanuel Michael 42yrs a private security guard in Abuja, and Jerry Aruwa 47yrs of Kabusa area, FCT Abuja for employment scam where Five fake appointment letters of the Nigeria Customs Service were recovered from them as exhibit.

The command in a statement issued, signed and made available to Journalists by the Public Relations Officer DSP Nansel Ranham in Lafia Friday stated that the command has commenced manhunt for the arrest of the principal suspect.

According to the statement, reliminary investigation has revealed that the suspects criminally conspired with one Kyari Nehemiah Daniel who is currently at large, a resident of Angwan TIV, Karshi Development Area , Karu LGA of Nasarawa State.

“The suspects claimed to be Customs officers and defrauded unsuspecting members of the public to the tune of Eleven Million, Seven hundred and Ninety-two thousand Naira (N11, 792,000) under the pretext of assisting the victims secure jobs in the Nigeria Customs Service”.

“The Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered a manhunt for the principal suspect Kyari Nehemiah Daniel”, the statement added.

Meanwhile CP Nadada had advised Job seekers to at all times seek employment through proper channels in order not to fall prey to scammers.
