Eid-el-Fitr: Ex Nasarawa, C/River Speakers Felicitate with Muslims ****Call for security conscious, peace, unity In Nigeria

The Immediate past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and that of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem wednesday facilitated with the Muslim faithfuls at the Eid-el – Fitr and called for security consciousness, peace and unity amongst Nigerians.

The two Lawmakers said prayer for peace, unity and progress of the Country has become neccesary in order to overcome the challenges of insecurity, hardship confronting the the country adding that recent attacks that has continued to claimed lives of innocent souls in most parts of Nigeria requires fervent prayers especially at this period of supplication.

The Nasarawa former Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi in a message to the Muslim, went down memory lane on the longtime efforts of leaders to ensure sustain peace and unity in Nigeria particularly Nasarawa state regretting how some people are head bent in ensure that the state do not see peace.

He emphasized the need to keep politics out of whatever challenges especially that which involves lives of the citizenry. calling on Nigerians to support the government at all levels to succeed for more democratic dividends.

The Overseer Umaisha Development Area Iliyasu Miryam appreciated the royal father’s leadership style and the former Speaker for coming down home to celebrate with his people just as he called on the people to embrace agriculture.

It was gathered that the EID celebration in Umaisha was peaceful and successful as people came out in their numbers to participate at the two units congregational prayers amidst tied security.

On his part, the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, expressed his felicitations to Muslims nationwide as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el- fitr alongside the rest of the world.

Rt. Hon. Ayambem urged Muslims to remember the core values of the occasion, which include selflessness, love, obedience, and perseverance.

The goodwill message reads: “I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Muslim faithful as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramadan.

This sacred occasion prompts us to contemplate our shared humanity and the significance of self-sacrifice in pursuit of higher ideals.

As leaders, we recognize the vital role of religion in our society and remain committed to fostering an environment where all can peacefully coexist, regardless of religion, origin, creed, or status.

I am honoured to once again extend my warmest wishes to the Cross River Muslim community and the entire Nation on this auspicious occasion. May the lessons, blessings, and joy of this season endure with us always.
