Eid-El-Fitr: Benue CP water tight security in public places, others

The Commissioner of Police, Benue State Police Command, CP. Steve Yabanet, has ordered the deployment of police officers cross the state to ensure security of lives and property during the forth coming Sallah celebration.

The CP ordered all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Commanders to provide water tight security within their areas of responsibility.

He urged them to ensure adequate security prayer grounds, recreational centers, markets, motor parks, and other public places where large gatherings are expected.

He said “Criminals are by this notice warned to desist from perpetuating crime or face the wrath of the law when arrested.”

In a statement signed by the command’s PPRO CSP Catherine Anene, the CP wished all Muslim faithfuls a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
