Education dev. UBEC, Nasarawa Govt. open financial bids for projects

LAFIA — In a deliberate move to improve on infrastructure development in the education sector in Nasarawa state, the Universal Basic Education Commission(UBEC) and the Nasarawa State Government have Tuesday released the 2023 counterparts funds intervention for UBE projects.

Muhammad Musa Dan’azimi announced this at the declaration of the 2023 financial bids at the SUBEB Headquarters Lafia.

Represented by the Director, Administration and Supplies of the Board, Emmanuel A.

Ekuse, Dan’azimi commended both Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and the Universal Basic Education Commission for their determined efforts at providing conducive learning environment for all learners in the state.

Dan’azimi, warned the would be contractors against cutting corners, assuring that the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board will monitor the projects to ensure that due process, transparency as well ensure that projects are executed according to specifications.

While urging those who would be selected as contractors on merit to make the Board proud, the Chairman further assured that the board would live above board in all transactions in the state.

In a separate comment, the MD/CEO of Awe contractors, Hajia Amina Muhammad who responded on behalf of other Bidders and Bids observer Alhassan Igah, expressed satisfaction with the process, saying it was fair and excellent exercise.

Highlight of the event was the financial bids opening by the Deputy Director, Procurement Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Hajia Hauwa Abdulkarim.
