Drug Abuse: SEN. ECHOCHO DONATES NDLEA FACILITY IN ANYIGBA

The senator representing kogi East and Chairman, Senate Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariffs, Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho), has built and donated a facility to enable the establishment of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), area command office in Anyigba, Dekina local government area of Kogi State.

A statement by his Special Adviser on Media Mikail Ibrahim says the initiative is a testament to the commitment of the Lawmaker to addressing the menace of drug abuse at the grassroots level across in his constituency in particular and kogi state generally.

The Senator who was represented by his Legislative aide, Mr. Okpanachi Yakubu during the official kickoff of the office location explains that the senator in his wisdom has deemed it fit for Anyigba in Dekina Local Government to have an area command office of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to curb the menace of illicit drugs.

The State Deputy Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Mr. Turki who represented the State Commander applauded Senator Isah Jibrin for the initiative, stressing the need for collaborative effort in taming drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Kogi East.

He says the lawmaker ‘s effort by donating finished office facility to the agency shall not be in vain.

The Ogohi Onu Anyigba, Alhaji Shaibu Okolo, equally thanks Senator Isah Jibrin for his support towards tackling drug abuse in Kogi East.
