Dividends Of Democracy : Anglican Communion Advocates Even Distribution Of Resources

The Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion wants the federal government to ensure even distribution of resources to enable rural dwellers to benefit from the dividends of democracy.

Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba who made the call during an event to mark the 35th anniversary of the Abuja Anglican Diocese identified Corruption as one of the reasons behind the current hardship in the country.

Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba alledged that the federal government palliatives to cushion the effects of the current economic policy did not reach the downtrodden.

He expressed belief that if the policies of President Bola Tinubu were well implemented, it would alleviate the plight of ordinary citizens.

Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba also advised the federal government to focus more attention on the revalitalization of moribund industries, agriculture, and youth empowerment.

According to him, if the government addresses insecurity and gives incentives to boost agriculture, more Nigerians, especially the youths, would be engaged.

He stressed the need for the church not to relent in praying for divine intervention as only God can provide solutions to the challenges in the country.

He expressed optimism that God will change the current situation to better if Nigerians change their ways and depend on Him.

The Church used the 35th anniversary to recognize and award some Nigerians that have contributed to the development of mankind.
