Democracy Day : stop fanny embers of disunity, religious extremism, NGO urges Nigerians

Beyond Boundaries Legacy Leadership Initiative( BBLLI Tuesday admonished
Nigerians to desist from fanning embers of disunity, religious extremism and sectionalization of politics in the interest of peace and national cohesion

Founder/ Executive of BBLLI, Mr Omaga Elachi Daniel,made the call at a Project Nigeria Conference 2023 organized by BBLLI in collaboration with North Central Youth Alliance For Democracy ( NOCYAD) in Keffi, Nasarawa State

It would be recalled that the Project Nigeria Conference 2023 had its theme: “Democracy in Nigeria: Echoes From The Past, Achievements in the Present and Hopes for the Future”

Daniel, who is the Convener of the Project Nigeria Conference 2023 said peaceful and united Nigeria would be scaled up and bring speedy development in the country.

According to him, the conference was organized with the aimed at building the capacity of participants, exchange ideas and share experiences of social, religious, ethnic and political engagements.

“The organization of the conference is to promote national unity, enhance peace and security of our nation as well as having discussions on common challenges confronting the youth inclusion in governance and to come up with a strategic action plan for advocacy.

“Strengthening youth network for active engagement for a more united, peaceful, politically stability, socially security and ecomically viable Nigeria is what we stand for and want the country to be” Daniel stated

He said that the conference will also be a historical opportunity for participants to have first-hand experiences of the dynamic democratic processes in Nigeria, since independence on Oct.1, 1960.

According to him, We must desist from further fanning the embers of disunity, religious extremism and sectionalization of our politics.

According to the executive Director of the organization, what the nation need at this moment of it’s thresholds is to look forward to the Nigeria, the founding fathers left behind. that will help promote national integration, sustainable peace and progress,” he added.
