Dalhatu Specialist Hospital taken over: Amb. Omakwu hails Tinubu, says action is timely

Amb. Henry John Omaku has described President Ahmed Bola Tinubu decision to approve the taking over of the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia as University Teaching Hospital in Nasarawa state as timely and a welcome development.

The immediate past Nigeria’s Ambassador to Sierra Leone said in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state that the approval for the takeover is another big project that will have direct bearing on the lives of the people.

According to him, “The government of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is only a year old, and we need to exercise more patience and allow the government to actualize its vision.

The President has already demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of the citizens by increasing the minimum wage after engaging in constructive dialogue with the Nigeria Labour Congress.
This is without doubt, a significant achievement, and a testament to his willingness to listen and work collaboratively.”

Ambassador Henry John Omaku, who holds the title of (Giwan Doma) said, the government has embarked on the Social Welfare Intervention Schemes like the cash transfer, consumer credit scheme, and N110 billion naira National Youth Investment Fund amongst others to reduce the economic hardships faced by Nigerians. Furthermore, this administration has made it possible for students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access loans and complete their university education. This is a groundbreaking initiative, unprecedented in our nation’s history.

The Diplomat commends Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State for the construction of overhead bridge and underpass in Lafia, building of ultramodern state secretariat, dualization of Shendam/government house road, and construction of intra city roads thereby giving the state capital a facelift. These are legacy projects that generations to come will live to appreciate. Your Excellency, posterity will be kind to you.

Ambassador Omaku commends Hon Abubakar Nalaraba, Member of House of Representatives, representing Awe, Doma and Keana Federal Constituency, Hon. Abubakar Nalaraba and Chairman House Committee on Appropriation for the award for the construction of Lafia- Doma-Rafin Gabas, Nasarawa-Orozo, Karshi-FCT Road worth 5.2 Billion Naira in the 2024 Supplementary Budget.

Amb Omaku praised the traditional ruler of Doma, the Andoma of Doma, Alhaji Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah Onawo for his tireless role in seeing to the realization of this all important project.
