Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has been released from the Kirikiri Correctional Center after serving over four months of a six-month prison term.

Bobrisky was spotted leaving the facility on Monday morning.

Footage of his departure, which has since gone viral, shows him inside a luxury car accompanied by two friends as they exited the prison premises.

Bobrisky’s imprisonment began on April 12, following a sentencing by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Lagos High Court.

The court found Bobrisky guilty of abusing the naira, resulting in a six-month prison term without the option of a fine.

The judge specified that the sentence commenced on March 24, the date of Bobrisky’s arrest.
