C’River Speaker commissions first ever Constituency Liaison Office since 1999, launches SOAN Organisation.

The Speaker of the Cross River State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem has commissioned first ever Constituency Liaison Office at Edor in Abanyom Ward of Ikom 2 State Constituency liaison office in Constituency 2 since 1999.
Commissioning the constituency liaison office, the Speaker Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem said the Constituency Liaison Office will not only serve as an information link between him and his constituent but also employ and empower fifteen persons carefully selected across all the wards of Constituency 2 to work as Liaison officers.
According to Speaker Ayambem, the newly constructed three bedroom liaison office which is located in the heart of Ikom 2 startex from the scratch adding that this was his first step towards empowering the people as promised during his campaigns.
The Speaker according to his Chief press Secretary, .after Okache, added that the liaison office will also be fully equipped with computer systems and experts employed with the sole aim of educating young people who are willing to acquire skills on computer including those preparing to write CBT exams.
Rt. Hon. Ayambem who expressed his appreciation over the people’s patience and understanding urged them to expect more appointments to strengthen the wards.
Speaking shortly at inauguration of the Son Of A Nobody (SOAN) Organization Executives, a political support group Speaker Ayambem said the group with about 2,000 members was his sole project designed to bring together youths of the area for gainful outing.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Enok Akpil Enok, the coordinator of the Ikom Chapter of the group said SOAN Organisation is the largest and most feared politically oriented movement that has come to stay.
He claimed that the organization is driven by free-spirited individuals prepared to go through a fast line of developing themselves. and the community
Furthermore, he said that because of the Speaker’s exceptional disposition towards supporting the ‘People’s First Governor’, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and his people-minded reforms, they were prepared to support people-oriented, transparent, and high-quality leadership without looking back.
Responding to some of the comments, Speaker Ayambem said it makes him happy to see people trying to help their leaders because it inspires them to be even more receptive. He declared that there is no way to overstate the importance of this movement right now.
According to the Speaker, he was overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd of people under a single body with a very defined goal of creating an uncommon synergy between leaders and their people.
The Speaker reiterated commitments to support growth and prosperity of any sort, noting that It’s indeed a laudable venture that he will support and empower to the best of his ability. He also dished out over a million naira to the group in appreciation of their timely initiative.
The event, which was held at SATCOM Hotel in Edor, was attended by several key stakeholders, including the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Mr. Anakan Victor, the Director-General of Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem Campaign Organization, Hon. Nsed Ayambem Nsed, Former Commissioner for Climate Change, Dr. Eyo Denet Nsing, Director-General of Mature Justice Movement, Hon. Asinya Ntan, the Executive Secretary of Ikom Urban Development Authority, Mr. Nsed Osak amongst others.
