Convocation: 50 out of 6,499 backs first class degrees in FuLafia ****says institution is currently housing over 16, 000 students

The Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State says it has recorded 50out of 6499 graduates with First Class degrees from three sets of graduands in various fields of studies.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Shehu Abdulraman, told Journalists during a Pre- Convocation Media briefing in Lafia that the institution is currently having over 16, 000 in it’s accedemiic records adding that the media briefing was part of series of activities to herald the first, second and third convocation ceremony of the institution scheduled for Saturday this week.

According to him, a total of 6, 499 graduates from three sets of the University will be awarded various degrees and other qualifications during the combined Convocation.

Abdulraman said the University under his leadership has recorded tremendous successes in the last three years, disclosing further that the institution has placed it’s academic, research activities and administrative performance in the road map of excellence, adding that the university has set a standard where the Management will not compromise at all sphere.

He said the University leadership will not only train her Students for the purposes of obtaining certificates, but prepares the Students for both Certificates and potentials required in the contemporary society.

Professor Abdulrahman who explained further that the University Management is partnering critical Stakeholders to stem all levels of insecurity added that every thing was being done to ensure that the institution is not in any way affected.

“My leadership has strategically position itself for the welfare of its Staff where training of all cadre of Staff has been a top priority to the university.

The institution has created different avenues to boost it’s Internally Generated Revenue for the development of the 13-year-old University”, Prof. Abdulrahman declared
