Communal clash: Foundation provides succour to families in Nasarawa

Concerned by the internal crisis and the hardship ravaging the displaced, a Non Governmental Organization, Stefanos foundation has donated various food items and other materials to Kuduku Community displaced at the wake of clashes in Keana Local government area of Nasarawa state.

The items donated include rice, beans, oil sugar salt, toiletries amongst other items too numerous to mention.

Presenting the items to the vulnerable Obosidoma persons taking refuge in Kuduku, the Physical care manager, of the organization, pastor Folorunsho Adisa expressed sadness over the incessant attacks on the Christian dominated community in the area describing the situation of the affected persons as pathetic, heart touching and horrible”.

Pastor Adisa, noted that the agonies faced by victims of the manmade disaster whose houses were raised down at the wake of the crisis in Keana local government area of Nasarawa state, appealed to the various communities in the area to see themselves as one, .

While urging the people to live in peace, show love for one another quoted from the book of Hebrews 13:3 which preaches showing love for one another, saying “this was the way peace can be restored amongst the people.

“Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in the prison and identify with those who are maltreated as if you were part of their suffering”

While praying that such affliction should be allowed to exist irrespective of religion, ethnicity, cultural background, Pastor Adisa reiterated the need for the communities to leave in peace with one another to achieve unity of purpose, adding that the items distributed was to cushion the effect of the hardship they were encountering.

It would be recalled that the NGO, which is headed by Mike libdo, has been on for more than 20 years and is partnering with release international, a Christian base organization in United Kingdom, who are financiers of the food items

Speaking while receiving the items on behalf other community, the president Mzough U Tiv Nasarawa state, Comrade Philip Nongu, thank the organization for the kind gesture.

He also lauded the Nasarawa state Governor, Abdullahii Sule for quick response to the crisis and urged him to assist the affected people to return to their places of abode.
