BREAKING: President Bola Tinubu Nominates Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim as Minister of Youth

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his official nod to the nomination of Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim as the next Minister of Youth, pending confirmation by the Senate.

The announcement, made on Sunday, by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), conveyed the President’s message, emphasizing that both nominees are expected to uphold the spirit of dynamism, innovation, and unwavering productivity that Nigerian youth represent.

This reflects a commitment to harnessing the potential of the nation’s young populace.

Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, a young and accomplished medical doctor, is set to take on the pivotal role of Minister of Youth.

She brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as the President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF). Notably, she also held the position of Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Also the President has nominated Mr. Ayodele Olawande to serve as the Minister of State for Youth, awaiting Senate confirmation. Mr. Olawande is a respected community development expert and a prominent youth leader within the All Progressives’ Congress (APC).

His recent tenure in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation from 2019 to 2023 has provided him with a solid foundation for this new role.
