BREAKING NEWS: Lucky Aiyedatiwa Sworn In as Ondo State Governor

Following the death of Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu the governor of Ondo state in the early hours of today after a long battle with cancer, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa has officially been sworn in as the executive governor of the state succeeding the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Amidst a somber atmosphere, Aiyedatiwa took the oath of office administered by the Chief Judge of Ondo state, Justice Olusegun Odusola.

In a heartfelt speech, the new governor expressed the profound sorrow felt at the loss of Governor Akeredolu, emphasizing the magnitude of the loss to both himself and the entire state.

“It is a devastating thing for us to lose our dear governor.

This is a monumental loss. It is a great loss to me as an individual,” Governor Aiyedatiwa remarked, underlining the gravity of the situation.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by key figures including the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, members of the assembly, the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, and the state chairman of the ruling party APC, Ade Adetimehin. Additionally, members of the Executive Council, political office holders, and other party members graced the occasion with their presence.
