An Irish chef, Alan Fisher has claimed two prestigious Guinness World Records titles, cementing his status as a cooking legend beating Nigeria Hilda Baci’s record.

Fisher, who owns and runs a restaurant in Japan, accomplished this remarkable feat by pushing the boundaries of endurance and skill in the kitchen.

Fisher’s first record-breaking achievement was securing the title of the “Longest Cooking Marathon (Individual),” where he astoundingly clocked in an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes.

This remarkable accomplishment shattered the previous record held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, exceeding it by more than 24 hours.

The Guinness World Records organization commended Fisher’s incredible achievement, stating, “Alan Fisher (Ireland), an owner and chef of a restaurant in Japan, has broken two cooking-related Guinness World Records titles.

” This momentous event unfolded on Tuesday, marking a historic moment in the world of culinary excellence.

Alan Fisher also set a new benchmark for the “Longest Baking Marathon (Individual),” showcasing his culinary versatility. Fisher dedicated an impressive 47 hours and 21 minutes to this baking marathon, outperforming the previous record holder, Wendy Sandner of the United States, who held the record with 31 hours and 16 minutes.

During his culinary marathon, Alan Fisher created an astonishing 357 kg of soda bread and prepared an astonishing 590 kg of various dishes, totaling 3,360 portions consisting of 32 unique recipes. His remarkable skills and determination have left the culinary world in awe.

Alan Fisher’s extraordinary feat comes nearly five months after Hilda Baci made her mark in the Guinness World Records by breaking the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes, which was held by India’s Lata Tondon since 2019.

Recall that Hilda Baci said she embarked on her record-breaking journey with the aim of showcasing Nigerian cuisine on the global stage and inspiring young African women to pursue their dreams.

“I also decided to break this record to truly push my limits and test my abilities,” Hilda stated, demonstrating the spirit of ambition and determination that these culinary record-breakers share.
