BREAKING: Human Rights Activist, Philip Agbese wins Reps seat in Benue

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Philip Agbese, has been declared winner of the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency election in Benue State.

He defeated the other two major contenders, Ralph Otobo of the Labour Party (LP), and Aida Nath Ogwuche of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to clinch the coveted seat.

Agbese polled 19,083 votes against 15,202 by the PDP candidate and 14,960 scored by the LP candidate.

He won in two out of the three local governments in the constituency.

Agbese, a UK trained Lawyer won in Ado LGA with about 5,000 margin. He also won Okpokwu while the LP candidate, Raph Otobo won Ogbadibo with a slim margin.

He was declared winner with 19,083 votes, against the PDP’s Ogwuche who polled 15,202 votes and the Labour Party’s candidate, Otobo sciored14,960 votes.
