Breaking: Gov Sule . denies Fulani Vigilante Group, says only community policing is recognized in Nasarawa as lawmakers assure gov. Sule of unflinching support

LAFIA —-Governor . Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State Monday distanced the state government from the setting up of Fulani Vigilante Group constituted and inaugurated in the State.
This, the Governor said a bill would have been originated and sent to the State Assembly for consideration and approved to give the group a legal backing..
According to Governor Sule who played host to members of the State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Hon. Danladi Jatau to congratulate him over Supreme Court victory, his administration would not be part of illegality but strive to promote peace in the State stressing that the security agencies are already investigating the issue of the Fulani Vigilante.
“The security agencies are already investigating the issue. we refused to be part of it because it was purely issues of the security agencies, Sule stated
The Governor said that the state government did not recognized Fulani Vigilante just like any other vigilante groups in the state.
“As far as we are concerned, the Fulani Vigilante like every other groups that wanted to have security outfit in the state. As far as we are concerned, there is only one vigilante group recognized by the Federal Government which we also recognized in the state.
According to the governor, “I am number one peace promoter and I will never encourage illegality and insecurity in the state.
While appreciating the Speaker for being up and doing in uniting members of the House as well as preaching unity and peace among communities across the state, he assured that the executive arm of the government in the state would continue to work in harmony with other arms in the interest of Nasarawa.
” Rt. Hon Danladi Jatau is a peace maker. I am happy that Jatau is not only uniting members of the House but has gone far to communities preaching unity, peace and drumming support for the government. I sincerely appreciate your efforts”, Sule Governor said.
He urged members to monitors closely especially at their oversight functions the activities of NG-CARES and other projects in the State to ensure that the right things are done.
Earlier, the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Danladi Jatau had said that the lawmakers were in the Government House to congratulate Gov. Sule on his Supreme Court victory.
“As leadership comes from God and the people of the state must accept the Supreme Court verdict in good faith, ” he said.
The Speaker assured of the House readiness under his leadership to effectively synergize with the Governor for the overall development of the State.
” Your Excellency, we want to assure you of our continuous readiness to give you maximum cooperation and support to succeed. The State Assembly is fully with you, we will work together with you and you should always count on us” he said.
The Speaker assured of his continued determination to unite members of the House and preach the message of unity and peace to various communities in the State.
