Breaking; Another Trouble For Doguwa As Name Disapears from INEC List

More hudles for the embattled lawmaker in the House of Representatives, Hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa as his name has disappeared from winners list presented by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

It would be recalled that the electoral body had last week declared Hon. Doguwa a winner of the February 25 election in Doguwa/Tudunwada federal constituency in Kano State.

The returning officer, Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai had announced that Hon. Doguwa of the All Progressives Congress,APC,scored 39,732 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Yushau Salisu Abdullahi of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, who scored 34,798 votes.

However, there seems a twist as the newly released list containing names of members-elect from the INEC did not have Hon.

In a trending viral video of the returning officer declaring the results, the Don from Bayero University, Kano could be seen reading out the results with shaky voices creating room suspicion by Nigerians on the part of the INEC.

It would be recalled that there were pockets of Voilence in Kano state shortly after the result of the House of Representatives election was announced by the INEC.

In another development, the Police in Kano state had also arrested Hon.Doguwa for his alleged role in the killings of several persons and burning of the secretariat of the NNPP, an allegation the lawmaker has severally denied vehemently.

But police in Kano state had equally confirmed that at least three persons were killed while the campaign secretariat of the NNPP in Tudunwada all in Kano state was set ablaze with two persons burnt to death.

The Police had also confirmed the arreignment of Hon.Doguwa at a magistrate’s court on the charges of murder, arson and unlawful possession of firearms, and was subsequently remanded in Corectional Center at Kano.

In another development,the Federal High Court in Kano had yesterday granted the embattled lawmaker a N500 million bail, while barring him from his constituency during the forthcoming gubernatorial and state assembly elections.
