Bowen University has issued a disclaimer debunking claims circulating on social media that it is partnering with PLAN Foundation to provide corrective surgeries for children with clubfoot under the MiracleFeet project.

In a statement signed by the university’s Registrar, B.T. Adetona, Bowen University clarified that neither the Chief Medical Director of Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, nor the Directorate of Health Services or university management are aware of any such collaboration.

“Bowen University and its affiliates have no partnership or agreement with PLAN Foundation for this programme,” the statement read.

The university warned the public to be cautious and advised individuals to verify information through official channels before engaging with such initiatives.

It emphasized that any dealings with the purported collaboration are at the individual’s own risk, as Bowen University is not involved in the programme.

The university urged the public to rely on verified information from its official channels to avoid misinformation.
