APC Chieftain Collapses While Addressing Congregation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has been struck by tragedy with the sudden passing of its Organizing Secretary, Chief Obinna Atuonu, at the age of 65.

Reports said that Chief Atuonu collapsed while delivering an address in church in Aba, the state’s commercial capital, on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

According to Dr. Chiedozie Atuonu, the late APC chieftain’s only brother, he received a distressing call urging him to rush to Aba from Umuahia upon learning of his brother’s critical condition.

Upon arrival, he found Chief Atuonu in critical condition and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Chief Atuonu was pronounced dead upon arrival.

His remains has been deposited at the morgue as arrangements are made for his final rites.
