Always Give Thanks To God And Shun Anger – Prof. Kolawole

The Dean of Post Graduate Studies, Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Prof. Simeon Kolawole has advised christians to be steadfast in faith and prayer towards overcoming the current challenges in the country.

He gave the advice during the Annual Revival Service of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja.

Prof. Kolawole who is the Guest Speaker said knowing Christ and power of His resurrection are key to solving life obstacles.

“I urge you all to always live your life according to the principles of the bible and the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ towards ensuring physical and spiritual growth not only in our churches but the country in general” He stated

While describing the present situation as temporary, the Dean enjoined christians to always worship and give thanks to God despite the current challenges.

Taking his bible reading from the book of Exodus chapter 24 verse 12, the Dean cautioned the congregation against anger which he described as a destroyer of men.

Prof. Kolawole also stressed the need for christians to shun acts that could deny them of God’s blessings in their endeavours.

He attributed most problems in churches and society to ignorance to the words of God hence the need for christians to always seek for knowledge and understanding in accordance to the Lord’s commandments.

In a remark, the Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami said the Annual Revival service was to reawakening the christian life of members and non members of the church towards overcoming challenges and attract God’s blessings as well as gained eternal life.

Reverend Oyelami who said the revival service which would end by Wednesday this week would go a long way in achieving a glorious church that would be pleased with God
