All is set for 2023 Fame’s Foundation Women’s Day Football Tournament in Abuja

All roads lead to Area 3 Football Pitch, Area 2, Garki, in the Nigeria’s capital city, for the 2023 edition of Women’s Day Football Tournament come Wednesday, 8th March from 8am to 3pm.

The International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Also, the day marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

Significant activity is witnessed worldwide, as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.

In a statement issued by the organizer of the competition, founder of FAME Foundation Aderonke Bello said, the FAME Foundation is putting together its annual International Women’s Day football tournament on March 8, 2023.

“The following are the criteria; Players Criteria: Female, Age18-60 years of age, Team must have Minimum of 15 and Maximum of 17 players (including a captain and goalkeeper), Player should be Non-professional footballers, each player must be in good health, based in Abuja or its environs.
