Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Kayode Ajulo has asserted that Ondo State, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is incapacitated, while raising concerns about his absence from office for the past five months.

Ajulo made these claims during an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show, alleging that officials within the Akeredolu administration have been signing documents on the governor’s behalf.

The legal expert expressed deep concerns over the governor’s health status, stating that the lack of a constitutional transfer of power to Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa prevents him from assuming the governor’s duties.

This situation, Ajulo argued, has created a void, potentially enabling certain elements to seize control of the state’s governance.

Ajulo cited instances where commissioners purportedly received approvals for memos sent to the governor during his absence. However, upon comparison with approvals granted by the governor when he was present, Ajulo claimed significant discrepancies. He hinted at the involvement of private investigators and urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the situation in Ondo State.

The lawyer adamantly asserted that signatures on documents allegedly signed by the governor are not genuine, suggesting potential legal ramifications and a breach of trust.

These revelations continue to raise serious questions about the governance structure in Ondo State and the legitimacy of actions carried out in the governor’s name during his prolonged absence.
