Airtel Nigeria’s ‘5 Days of Love’ Program to Feed 6,000 Nigerians Across Six States This Festive Season

Airtel Nigeria, a prominent telecommunication company, resumes its annual humanitarian effort by pledging to provide meals for 6,000 individuals across six locations nationwide during its ‘5 Days of Love’ initiative amidst the festive season.

The company’s Director of Corporate Communications & CSR, Mr. Femi Adeniran, announced the 2023 edition’s launch during a press conference at the telecom giant’s headquarters, expressing the commitment to support underprivileged Nigerians during this challenging period.

Adeniran highlighted, “Airtel Nigeria is elevating its dedication to giving back by aiming to feed 6,000 Nigerians across six states, fostering happiness and celebrating with the communities where it operates.

The initiative, now in its 9th edition, will span five days, providing packed meals to 1,000 individuals in Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Imo, Kwara, and Abuja, encompassing children, women, youth, and the elderly in each state.

He emphasized, “Beyond meal distribution, the ‘5 Days of Love’ campaign embodies a celebration of the festive season, promoting an electrifying atmosphere of fun, entertainment, and compassion. At Airtel, we believe in making a difference through sharing and celebrating as good neighbors.”

Director of Distribution, Ifeoma Okafor-Obi, reiterated Airtel’s people-centric approach, affirming the company’s commitment to ensuring vulnerable individuals also partake in the joy of the festive season despite ongoing societal challenges.

The ‘5 Days of Love’ initiative commenced on December 13th, 2023, in Lagos, with subsequent events in Rivers, Kano, and Imo states on the 14th and 15th of December. The program will continue in Kwara and Abuja on the 18th and 19th, respectively.

Originating in 2015 from 10 orphanages across Nigeria, Airtel’s ‘5 Days of Love’ has evolved to encompass various towns and cities, collaborating with leading fast-food vendors to deliver food and drinks to the public.
