Ahead 2027 : Vote only credible leaders with capacities to deliver—Nasarawa lawmaker urges Nigerians

Nasarawa State House of Assembly Member representing Lafia Central constituency, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, has advised Nigerians against voting leaders along ethnic, religious and political lines saying the system has continued to work against the development of the country.

The SDP Lawmaker, Hon Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki called on Nigerians to vote only leaders with capacity, competence, foresight to deliver with the fear of God.

Hon Akwashiki spoke while playing host to Migili Youth Association, Grassroots Mobilization Forum, Lafia LGA, Motorcycle and Tricycle Association of Nigeria, Lafia Branch in his office on Thursday.

Akwashiki, the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts said that voting leaders with capacity to deliver will bring more unity, peace and development to the country, adding that It was high time to canvass and vote for people with integrity to political positions in the country.

” I want to appreciate you for the visit and to assure you of my readiness to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to my people and others. I have done a lot and still doing my best in the area of road, employment, education, water supply, empowerment among others.

Hon Akwashiki while assuring that he will continue to put smiles on the faces of his constituents and other people, equally promised effective and quality representation at the state legislature.

The lawmaker also urged guests to pray for him, Speaker Danladi Jatau, Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other leaders at all levels to succeed.

On the call on him to contest for House of Representatives seat by Grassroots Mobilization Forum and Motorcycle and Tricycle Association, Akwashiki said that he will respond to the call for the higher responsibility when the time comes in 2027.

Earlier, Christopher, National President of Migili Youth Association, Mr Ajeh Oli Christopher said their visit was to identify with Hon. Akwashiki for the good work he is doing not only in the assembly, but for positioning himself as Mr Project of Lafia Central Constituency and assured him of their unalloyed

On their parts, Leader of Grassroots Mobilization Forum, Lafia LGA. Hon Ozega Mohammed and Mr Jibrin Usman, Chairman, Motorcycle and Tricycle Association of Nigeria, Lafia Branch said they were in the assembly to appreciate Hon. Akwashiki for what he is doing as a member representing Lafia Central constituency.

The group while urging Hon Akwashiki to go for higher position in 2027, assured the lawmaker of their prayers, loyalties and support to succeed as well as soliciting the
support of the lawmaker to enable them succeed in their activities.
