AGBESE FLAGS OFF CAMPAIGN, PROMISES IMPROVEMENT IN LIVING STANDARD OF THE ENO’NE PEOPLE

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for Ado /Okpokwu /Ogbadibo Federal constituency, Chief Philip Agbese, has promised to improve the living standard of the Eno’ne people when elected to represent his constituency.

Chief Agbese stated this during the flag-off of his campaign yesterday at LGEA Primary School in Effoyo, Edumoga, Okpokwu local government to the applause of stakeholders and a throng of his supporters.

As a youth himself, Agbese declared in his speech that he had faith in the young people and offered to help them find jobs and empower them in skill-building programmes in his capacity as their representative at the Green Chamber.

He described himself as an orphan because he understands and shares in the plight of orphans and all those who are adversely affected by misfortunes, while stating that he does not own a farm but believes in agriculture as a source of wealth and wants to invest in his people by easing the challenges that comes with farming.

In his opening remarks, the Director General of the campaign, Hon. Benson Audu, earlier declared the event open and thanked the planning committee members, Party supporters, and members of the APC campaign council for making the event possible while reiterating his commitment to the projects success.

State Chairman of the party, Comrade Austin Agada, appreciated the continued support and sacrifices made by members of the party at all levels, adding that their selflessness has been recognized by the party.

Agada presented Chief Agbese to the people of Edumoga and urged them to vote for him and all APC candidates, declaring that other parties had nothing to offer the people of Enone, by highlighting the many projects and programmes of the APC that are visible and accessible to the general public, and urged supporters to vote for APC candidates from top to bottom.

The event also witnessed the endorsement of Chief Agbese by students of Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo through the SU- President, Comrade Ogboji Peter, who explained that the endorsement became necessary because of the numerous good deeds Hon. Agbese has done for the Eno’ne students.

Highlights of the occasion was the defection of prominent members of the ruling party in the State, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the APC, with the likes of Hon. Simon Onuh, Hon. Clement Onuh, Asst. Sec Okpokwu PDP and their supporters, who were received into APC by the APC State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Daniel Ihomun on behalf of the State Working Committee of the party.

Dignitaries that graced the occasion included, The former Senate President of Nigeria, Chief Ameh Ebute; Life Beacher and Chairman, Zone C elders forum, Chief Barr. A. A Ochoga; Senatorial candidate for Benue -South, Comr. Daniel Onjeh; HOA- Candidate for Ado, Hon. Mrs Lami Danladi Ogenyi; Hon. Juliana Obetta; Hon. Douglas Onyilo, HoA Candidate for Okpokwu; Hon. Ameh Tech; Chief Sunday Attah; Hon. Mrs. Oma Ogenyi; All APC Party Chairmen from Eno’me, critical stakeholders, among others.
