Former Yobe State Governor Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim Passes Away at 73

The news of the passing of former Yobe State Governor, Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, has been announced through the official social media platform of Gujba Emirate Council and later confirmed by a reliable source from the Emirate.

The late Senator Ibrahim, born in October 1950, served two terms as Governor of Yobe State, first from January 1992 to November 1993 and then from May 29, 1999, to May 29, 2007.

His significant contributions extended beyond the state level when he was elected as Senator for Yobe East Senatorial District, a position he held from June 2007 to June 2019.

Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim’s final moments were spent at Medina Hospital, where he succumbed to protracted illness and he will be buried in Madina.
