Re-run assembly election: Nasarawa Speaker hails victory of two lawmakers ***says house now ready for legislative responsibility

NASARAWA State House of Assembly Speaker, Danladi Jatau, has hailed the victory of two members of the House, Mohammed Adamu Omadefu of APC and Musa Abubakar Ibrahim of NNPP at the Saturday re-run elections in Keana and Doma state constituencies.

Jatau while reacting to their victory in a chat with journalists said the victory of the two lawmakers confirmed their popularity and trust their people have on them and congratulated the two winners over their victory.

The Speaker, while calling on their opponents to join hands with the lawmakers to build their constituencies and the state at large applauded INEC and the security for conducting a hitch-free exercise as well as ensuring a peaceful atmosphere throughout the exercise.

He also lauded the electorates for having faith in the lawmakers by overwhelmingly re-run electing them, emphasizing that with the completion of the exercise, the Nasarawa State House of Assembly is now fully constituted and ready for legislative responsibilities.

He re-affirmed the 7th Assembly’s commitment under his watch to leave no stone unturned to deliver on their mandate as well as enhance effective synergy with other arms of government for accelerated development to thrive.

It would be recalled that the Keana Constituency election was held in five polling units of Agaza electoral ward of Keana Local Government Area consisting Kofar Sarki 001, Kofar Inuwa 002, Central Primary School A 003, Central Primary School B 004, as well as Kofar Gazagu 005, with a total of 2,310 PVCs collected.
