Fire Engulfs Household of David Church in Lagos

The renowned Household of David Church, situated at 7 Surulere Street, Industrial Estate, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos, was engulfed this morning by a fierce fire outbreak.

The Lagos State Fire Service promptly confirmed the incident through an official Facebook post, revealing that the inferno commenced at approximately 10:47 am.

Reportedly, the expansive church auditorium became engulfed in flames, originating from smoke that emerged from the ceiling.

Efforts to combat the fire were immediately initiated by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service from Alausa and Ikeja Fire Stations.

As per the official statement, the fire is now under control, with dampening down procedures in progress to conclude the operation.

Fortunately, the firefighting teams successfully confined the blaze within the church auditorium, preventing its spread to adjacent properties.

The property affected primarily includes the church auditorium and associated items. While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities are diligently working to uncover the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
