Supreme Court Verdict: Don’t undermine the existing peace in Nasarawa State —Speaker tells citizens. **** drums support for Gov. Sule

LAFIA —-Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has appealed to the citizens and residents of the State not to allow the supreme court verdict, split the state, undermine the existing fragile peace in the state

The Speaker said at a reception organized by National Youth Council of Nigeria, Nasarawa State chapter in honour of governor Abdullahi Sule over his victory at the supreme courtin Keffi Thursday.

According to Jatau no nation or society can experience development without peace, hence the need for all to shun acts capable of undermining the existing peace in the state.

He called on the people of the state to join hands, work as a team to support the administration of Abdullahi Sule for more dividends of democracy in the state.

” His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule has the passion for the state. He is doing well in the area of peace, security, provision of infrastructure among others. Let all give His Excellency the maximum support to succeed to enable all of us enjoy more dividends of democracy,” he said.

The Speaker advocated unity in diversity where the heterogenous nature of the state and its potentials will be harnessed for growth and development instead of creating crises.

“Litigations are over so attention must be redirected to governance. I envisaged a better Nasarawa State where politics will be played devoid of primordial sentiments”, the speaker stated..

While using the medium to appeal to youths and politicians to avoid utterances capable of over hitting the polity, the speaker admonished all to see Nasarawa State as a base for closer integration, a base for development and a base for the realization of the founding fathers aspirations.

It would be recalled that the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau, the Chairman of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) Aliyu Bello and the State Accountant General, Dr Musa Ahmed Mohammed led politicians to the reception were the competence of Engr. Abdullahi Sule to turn the fortunes of the state was underscored.
