Tension: CP Nadada deploys police, vigilante to FCT, other borders in Nasarawa

LAFIA —AS fear and tension continue to grip residents of Nasarawa ahead of the supreme court Judgement, State Police Commissioner, CP Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered proactive deployment of Police operatives as well as the vigilante to boundary with FCT, others even as he harped on professionalism.
CP Umar Shehu Nadada in a statement signed and issued by the police command Public Relation Officer, DSP Ranham Nansel says the deployment becomes necessary inview of the recent security issues being experienced across the state especially around the border with FCT and other neighbouring states.
“We need to be proactive and ensure adequate deployment of Police operatives and vigilante to identified areas bordering the FCT to prevent issues of insecurity around our state from escalating into our state”.
“Furthermore, Area Commanders New Karu, Keffi, and Nasarawa and all Divisional Police officers under them are to mobilise their personnel and Vigilante, partner with the traditional rulers, Community leaders and sister security agencies inorder to dominate the areas”, the statement declared.
“You have to be civil to members of the public, as no laxity and unprofessional conduct shall be tolerated. Residents are to be rest assured that the police command is working tirelessly to provide an impregnable security architecture in the state, ensure that their safety is being looked after.
“To complement the the security agencies, residents must be vigilant and report suspicious activities or emergency to the police and other sister agencies to serve you better”, the statement added
