Vote candidates with Ogbunka’s interest -PG contestant advises indigenes

One of the contestants to the position of President General (PG) in Ogbunka, Chief Lawrence Emenike has advised indigenes of the community to put into consideration, each contestant’s developmental contributions to the community, before casting their votes.

He also said that it is important to assess each contestant’s commitment and love for the indigenes of the community.

Ogbunka, one of the ancient communities in Orumba south local government area of Anambra state has set aside, 26th day of December, 2023 to elect new executive officers to be overseeing the affairs of the community for a period of time, in line with the community’s constitution.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), La – Lazco Group of Companies, UK and La – Lazco Construction Company Nigeria Limited said this through a written statement he made available to media houses recently.

On his contributions to the community which according to him made him to come out to contest for the PG position, he said: “I have worked all round Ogbunka Ring Roads with my money during Christmas celebrations. I have brought strong political awareness in Ogbunka with my resources. Today Ogbunka participates very well in all elections. This has made it possible for Ogbunka to produce two commissioners in the last and present regimes.

He continued: “I made sure that Ogbunka Roads were included in the budget of Anambra State in the immediate past regime with the Commissioner for Works in Anambra state, Arc. Ilozumba. I provided the logistics for the surveys and plans. The Ngiridi to Ufuma construction was initiated by some of us, and I played a significant role in it. I believe more will come for Ogbunka if I become PG of our beloved Ogbunka.”

Unveiling his plans for the community if elected into office as the PG, Chief Lawrence Emenike had this to say: “I will try my best to ensure that there is peace in Ogbunka, as well as ensure that our youths will be included in things going on in our state and the nation at at large.

“I am going to ensure that I include our people, Ndi Ogbunka, in the decision-making process at all times during my tenure as PG. I have demonstrated great philanthropy in Ogbunka, and many individuals and families have seen my love for them in the past.

He said that due to his contributions to humanity, he was honored with Onwa Nd’Igbo na Lagos, Ogbuefi Agubata na Ogbunka, Ambassador to United Nations Rescue Mission, UN Ambassador to Igbo Ebuka Cultural Group, Worldwide and
President, Igbo Oriental Think Tank Worldwide, United Kingdom.

According to the statement, educationally, he attended Abubo Primary School, Nnewi Ichi, Technical College, Ichi, City and guide A level and B.Sc Engr. Southbank University, London UK.
