APC Governorship Re-Run In Benue Would Be Free,Fair & Credible- Senator Basheer

Returning officers for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship re- run elections in Benue State, supporters and other stakeholders involved in the exercise have been charged to comply strictly with the electoral guidelines guiding the exercise.


Addressing stakeholders and Party faithful yesterday, in Makurdi, at the party Secretariat while distributing electoral materials to returning officers of the eleven affected Local Government Areas, Chairman of the re-run primaries senator Basheer Lado assured that the exercise would be hitch free.

According to the re- run primary electoral committee chairman, senator Basheer, the exercise would be conducted in 137 council wards of Local Government Areas including Gboko, Gwer-West, Gwer- East,Guma, Katsina-ala,Logo, Makurdi, Otukpo, Ukum, Tarka and Vandeikya Local Government Areas respectively.

Senator Basheer represented by Mr Baba Jaui Liman assured the people that the rerun would be free,fair and credible.
In a remark, Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC in Benue State comrade Austin Agada on behalf of the state working committee promised to give the committee maximum cooperation to enable the committee carry out the exercise successfully.
At some of the polling units visited including Kanshio in Bar ward and Tse Angi in walumayo wards and wadata,electorates were seeing in their hundreds qeued behind their favourite candidates.
In an interview with one of the party faithful who gave his name as Francis at Tse- Angi polling unit,he said the exercise was without cridis,he called on the aspirant contesting in the re-run election to accept the outcome of the result not minding whoever emerges to enable the party continue with campaign ahead the general election around the corner.
