FERMA to urgently fixup dilapidated roads in Kogi East

The Federal Roads maintenance Agency FERMA says it will commence reconstruction of collapsed parts of Ochadamu road in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi to ease movement of goods and services.

The Acting Managing Director of the Agency, Engineer Agbasi stated this during a visit by the senator representing Kogi East, Isah Jibrin to discuss and fast track reconstruction of the dilapidated parts of the road.

Senator Isah Jibrin also met with the Acting Managing Director of the Agency, on the disturbing position of the Ochadamu portion of the Lokoja-Anyigba road.

The lawmaker had earlier submitted a letter of request to FERMA for immediate intervention to facilitate ease movement on the highway.

Senator Jibrin said he would not rest on his oars until the Roads are put in proper shape in the interest of indigenes of Kogi East in particular and Nigerians in general.

Responding, the Acting Managing Director Engineer Agbasi gave the assurance that the deplorable condition of the roads would soon be a thing of the past stressing that direct labour would be used to urgently fixed them up.
