Imo agog as Odunzeh storms Owerri, vows to Empower youths

The Imo state capital, Owerri was agog on Friday, as the guber candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Hon.Uche Ben Odunzeh, was received by enthusiastic youths at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport in the state, according to a statement from his media office, signed by Joshua Elekwachi recently.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation of hope on seeing the energized governorship candidate dressed with white senator suite and a dark cap to match

On arrival, Odunzeh expressed his gratitude to the youths for their overwhelming support and for coming to the airport to welcome him to the state which he said was a sign that the youths were desirous for a new imo.

He emphasized that his manifesto is centered around addressing the pressing issues of insecurity and neglect facing Imo State especially issues targeting the youths because according to him as a youth, he knows what it means that a young man has no means of economic address.

Hon. Odunzeh highlighted the dire situation of insecurity in the state and attributed it to the failure to adequately address the needs of the youth population. According to him, the lack of essential amenities and the absence of employment opportunities for the youth had contributed to the rise in crime and unrest. He passionately advocated for a comprehensive approach to tackle these issues and vowed to prioritize youth empowerment, and made case on the need to invest in education and skills development, believing that by providing the youths with proper opportunities, they could become more productive members of the society and contributors to the state’s growth.

Furthermore, he pledged to focus on improving the provision of basic amenities, such as access to clean water, healthcare facilities, and better infrastructure across the state. He stressed that a more secure and prosperous Imo State could only be achieved through concerted efforts to uplift the youth and address their needs.

Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh left the audience with a resounding message of hope and change urging the people to join hands with him in building a better future for Imo State, emphasizing that it was time for a new approach to governance that will prioritize the welfare of the youths and the overall well-being of the state’s residents.
