Gov. Sule urges renew friendship , peaceful co-existence, selfless sacrifice at EID EL- Kabir

NASARAWA state governor, Eng. Abdullahi Sule Tuesday urged residents to renew friendship, co-existence, among one in the state.

Governor Sule in a sallah message to mark the celebration of EID-El Kabir appealed to the citizens to use the celebration to remind themselves of the need to live in peace with one another as the EIDEL-kabir symbolizes a test of faith, , brotherhood and adherence to Allah’s commands.

“My brothers and sisters, I wish to remind us that occasion such as this call for the Ummah to reflect on our relationships with Allah and fellow human beings as a symbol of righteous living, love and peaceful coexistence in the society”.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Nasarawa State, I congratulate the Muslim community in Nasarawa State for joining their counterparts all over the world in celebrating this festival of sacrifice. The feast of Eid-el-Kabir is in commemoration of the magnificent submission by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace Be Upon Him) .

“It is for this reason that I implore you to continue to preach peace, show love, understanding, tolerance and good neighborliness among ourselves.

I, therefore, call on you to pray for our Brothers and Sisters who are in the holy land performing this year’s Hajj exercise. We hope that they are equally praying for the general well-being of the society, especially for the new Administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his commitment to turn around the fortunes of our dear nation.

According to the governor, people of Nasarawa State must continue to be their brother’s keeper in order to sustain peace and harmony for socio-economic prosperity.

” I appeal to our traditional rulers, community and religious leaders to sustain their sensitization and enlightenment for harmonious co-existence in the state beyond the period of celebration”

He further appeal to all security agencies, non-conventional security personnel to intensify enforcement of the laws during the festival and beyond.

In the same vein, the state Commissioner of police, Maiyaki Baba while felicitating with Muslim Faithfuls on Eid-el-Kabir Celebration, warns miscreants to steer clear of the state

The Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba in a statement signed by the Public Relations officer of the command, DSP Ramhan Nansel ordered strategic deployment of five thousand, seven hundred and fifty (5,750) Police operatives to cover all nooks and cranny of the State including Eid praying grounds, recreational centres and other public places.

According to the CP, vigorous crime prevention mechanisms have been deployed to the highways to secure road users, adding that operatives have also been deployed to all parts of the state for surveillance and information gathering.

He warned miscreants and disgruntled elements who might want to leverage on the occasion and perpetrate criminality to steer clear of the State or face arrested and prosecution.

The commissioner of Police further urged members of the public to be security conscious and reach out to the command in case of any distress.
