Gov. Kefas Vows To Tackle Insecurity In Taraba.

The newly sworn in Governor of Taraba, Lt Col. Agbu Kefas (rtd) on Monday vowed to tackle both internal and external security challenges that have bedeviled the state for decades.

Kefas during his inaugural speech at Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, stated that insecurity has since over the years bedeviled Taraba to a point that the people could not developed themselves in their personal means.

The governor promised to engage security experts/stakeholders, traditional institutions, professionals and youths to tackle insecurity to handle the menace to it’s barest minimum.

He further stated that his administration would give priority to youths employment, women empowerment and also enable the disabled.

The New Governor assured the people that he would only hire competent hands to form his cabinet

“Only best and qualify hands will be selected to participate in my cabinet, we must give our people hope, I am optimistic that if we join hands to leave together as one, we shall succeed and the issue of insecurity will become an issue of the past.

“My government shall make the necessary amenities and facilities available for better welfare of our people, we must ensure that the people are proud to call Taraba their own.

” My determination as a governor is to make available proper Health Care and quality education for our people,’ he said.

Kefas said his administration would remain accountable and responsible to the people of the state while his doors would remain open for constructive criticism.
