10th NASS: The AK/BAR Movement 2023 receives a massive boost as election to the Plum job draws closer.

Barely about a fourthnight to the election of the Principal Officers of the National Assembly, Senator-Elect Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomohle former Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress, former Governor of Edo State and former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress has rescinded decision to contest for the President of the Senate and Chairman of the National Assembly.

He has declared his support to Sen Godswill Obot Akpabio (Senate President) and Sen Barau Jibrin (Deputy Senate President) in line with the decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC.

His decision was made known when he visited the Campaign Secretariat in Transcorp Hilton today, 28th May 2023 barely 24 hours to the inauguration of the President and Vice President-Elect, citing; ‘Having had the honor of being the party chairman in the past and knowing fully well the decision of the party is borne out of the desire and passion of Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu to unite and stabilize the country, it is now imposed on me to oblige and obey the decision of the NWC been a true party man, he then call on other aspirants and party faithful’s to follow suit in the best interest of party and National cohesion.

The former Deputy Director of the Tinubu/Kashim Campaign Organization alluded the importance of having a legislative backing for the executive to function very effectively, and been a team player, the position of the party is clear hence, we must ensure AK/BAR aspirations comes to reality without compromise.

On his part, the Deputy Senate Presidential Candidate, Senator Barau Jibrin ,stressed that ‘we have gotten the right person to deliver the Senate President and Deputy Senate President seats looking at this antecedent, we believe as a man of his pedigree, who has done such in the past, is the right person to do it again because he is a man of his words who will ensure he put things in order. We believe the Comrade man would swiftly unite all other senators and bring them on board in his quest to deliver Godswill Akpabio and myself as the President and Deputy Senate President respectively.

He also notched him as the Co-Chairman of the Campaign Council henceforth.

Finally, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Senate President hopeful was delighted to receiving Comrade Oshiomohle in the campaign secretariat.

He believed with people of his caliber, the road to success is even clearer, the stability and unity of the Tinubu/Kashim administration is paramount from start to finish.
