Non serving senators from South South Geo-political zone applaud Zoning of 10th Senate presidency to S/S.. advise against micro-zoning

A coalition of Non serving senators from the South South region has appealed to all senators -elect to see the decision of the All progressives Congress on zoning of the position of the Senate president to the region as an idea that has come at the nick of time.

The chairman of the group Mr. John Agoda made the appeal at a News briefing in Abuja.

Mr John Agoda said in compliance with the constitutional provision the country needed some one who understood the nation’s ethno religious and cultural dynamics

The chairman of the coalition praised the leadership of the APC and president -elect Asiwaju Tinubu for the clarifications on the zoning of principal officers for the 10th Assembly.

The group called on the party not to micro zone position to individual or State in the region but allow it for everyone in the region to contest the position in the interest of peace in the country.
