We will grow our partnership more than ever before— Nasarawa New SSG assures Journalists

Nasarawa State Government has reaffirmed it’s commitment to effectively partner journalists in the state for a free flow of information on government policies and programmes.

Speaking when the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists visited him in his office, the recently appointed Secretary to the State government, (SSG), Barrister Labaran Shuabu Magaji, said the existing relationship in Nasarawa stste would be strengthened where departments, and Agencies of government would be properly positioned and open for the media for adequate reportage.

According to the SSG, several invocations have been introduced since his assumption of office adding that no file has spent over two hours on his table without being treated, stating further that he would strive to widen the knowledge of the people of the state on Government policies and programs.

“I hold members of the Chapel in high esteem. The State Government will continual to support and assist the chapel at all times”.

Barr.Labaran explained that, Engineer Abdullahi Sule’s led administration in the state has embarked on projects that have direct bearings on the life of the entire citizenry in the state.

He appealed to the people to continue to give the administration their unalloyed support and cooperation to draw from the Sule enormous lined up benefits

While thanking members of the Pen Profession for the publicity being given to the State Government, the SSG assured Journalists in the state that “The administration’s doors are wide open for them to always cross check their facts before going to press”.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Correspondent’s Chapel, Comrade Isaac Ukpoju, said the chapel members were in his office to congratulate him on his appointment, as the Secretary to the State Government.

The Ukpoju commended Governor Abdullahi Sule, for finding Barrister Labaran worthy to serve the state in the position of the SSG.

He appealed to the SSG to operate an open door policy to enable the members of the chapel members have unhindered assess to government activities as well as confirm and obtain facts about their stories before going to the press.
