LAFIA — Newly appointed Accountant General of Nasarawa State, Dr. Musa Ahmed Muhammed has said that his appointment as the new Accountant General would be driven by prudent management, transparent and accountability to consolidate on the programme of the present administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule for economic growth and development of the State.

Musa Ahmed Muhammed, a PhD holder in Accounting, was a Two term former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly made the pledge while speaking shortly after he visited the Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt.
Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi in Lafia Wednesday.

Dr Musa Ahmed Muhammed FCNA, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria and Former Speaker of the State Assembly revealed that he was at the Speaker’s place to officially notify him of his appointment as Accountant General of the State, seek for synergy and support from the assembly for the betterment of the State.

Ahmed appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule for finding him worthy to serve as the State Accountant General, promising to deliver on his mandate and justify the confidence reposed on him by working hard to sure that prudent management, transparency and accountability remains his watch words to enhance the economic growth and development of the State in line with Governor Abdullahi Sule’s agenda.

The Speaker of the State Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi congratulated the new Accountant General of the State, noting that he has full confidence on his capacity and ability to deliver considering his worth of experience in governance and as a seasoned accountant.

Speaker, Balarabe Abdullahi who wished the New Accountant General well in his new assignment, assured him of full support to succeed for the overall development of the State.

It was reported that the New Accountant General had received his appointment letter yesterday Tuesday, 25th April, 2023 and is expected to resume duty next week Monday, 1st May, 2023.

He is to take over from Mr Zakka Yakubu who has been in office since 2016.
