Peacemaker killed in Adavi local govt of kogi state while settling quarrels

Orishagbemi Sunday, a 39 years old man has being stabbed to death in Zango Daji, Adavi local government area of Kogi state, while trying to make peace between two men over public urination.

The late Orishagbemi Sunday met his untimely death when he made attempt to settle the dispute between his friend and another person

The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya, who confirmed the incident explained that the unfortunate incident started in the evening of Friday when a friend of the deceased, described as a vulcanizer at Ganaja junction, in Lokoja, decided to urinate close to a building belonging to one of the residents of the quarters.

The action of the deceased’s friend did not go down well with one Sadiq (son of the owner of the building) who engaged him in an uncontrollable argument

Worried about the incidence Late Orishagbemi went in to the matter to settle the squabble between his friend and the man

In the process, Sadiqe was said to have brought out a knife and stabbed Orishagbemi to death.

Ayah, who confirmed the story in an interview with Newsmen in Lokoja said the deceased was killed at Okada Park at Zango Daji, adding that the suspect is under police custody for investigation.

He told newsmen that the suspect would be arraigned in court for prosecution as soon as the investigation is concluded in the case.
