NASC APPOINTS BASHIR AMINU YERO AS DCNA

The National Assembly Service Commission has approved the appointment of Engineer Bashir Aminu Yero as the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA).

The Commission approved Yero’s appointment during an emergency meeting of the Commission held today Tuesday, 24th December, 2024.

This is even as the Commission further approved the appointment of the Director of Finance & Accounts, Ibrahim Atiku as the Secretary of the Directorate of Procurement and Supplies.

On the other hand, Engr. Liman Baba Sanda, former Secretary of the Directorate of Procurement & Supplies has been re- deployed as the Secretary of Estate and Works.

In their respective appointment letters signed by the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Engr. Ahmed Kadi Amshi, the Commission noted that the elevations and redeployment were in recognition of their hard-work and administrative competence and therefore enjoined them to continue to uphold the confidence reposed in them.

The appointments and redeployment, the Commission emphasized, would take effect from 2nd February, 2025.

It would be recalled that the Commission had recently appointed Barrister Kamoru Ogunlana as substantive Clerk to the National Assembly with effect

from 2nd February, 2025.
