First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu applauds Jaji’s efforts to foster inter-faith harmony

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has commended Rt. Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, the Cordinator for distribution of food items to christians in Northern Nigeria

Speaking at the distribution of food items to Northern christians in Nigeria ahead of this year Christmas and New Year celebrations, event organized by the Office of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters held at Umaru Musa Yar’adua Hall, Murtala Square, Kaduna.

The First Lady commended Jaji for his unwavering support to the plight of the christian community in Northern Nigeria, saying, “I would like to personally commend Hon.

Aminu Sani Jaji for this wonderful initiative. We all started this together. I was impressed when he started quoting the Holy Bible and telling us about loving one another.

The First Lady, while quoting relevant verses in the Holy Bible that talked about love and compassion for a fellow human being, wondered why some politicians are in the habit of playing politics with religion, thereby instigating hatred among the citizenry.

In her words, “Why will we be playing politics with hatred? Our diversity is our strength. Our multi-ethinicity is our strength. When we gather like this, we give because it is a festive season where we were told about the sacrificial love of Christ. I told myself that when you give to people and it doesn’t hurt you, you are not giving”,

Earlier in his welcome address, Rt. Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, Member representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency of Zamfara said through the journey leading up to the 2023 general election, he recognized the critical importance of unity and collaboration among diverse political leaders.

He said, “We are truly honoured by the presence of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, despite your tight schedule. This speaks volumes about your deep commitment to the values we hold dear. Your participation today is a testament to your unwavering dedication to unity, progress, and the welfare of our nation.

“As we reflect on our journey leading up to the 2023 general election, we recognize the critical importance of unity and collaboration among our political leaders. Among the cardinal aspects that have led to our collective unity of purpose are the various activities organized by our Forum. ”

“Your commitment and active participation in these programs have made them a reality, where people across the country understand the significance of working together for the common good. We appreciate your unwavering dedication, which we do not take for granted. ”

“We are also deeply grateful to the Governors and Ministers for taking their time not only to attend this program but to contribute to making it a resounding success. Your presence and involvement add tremendous value to this gathering, and certainly, this collaboration will bring about greater unity, prosperity, and hope for our nation. By working together, we can mitigate the challenges we face and bring about the desired changes we seek for a Renewed Nigeria. ”

He called on both Christians and Muslims to use this opportunity to further strengthen their bonds and reaffirm their commitments to the principles of justice, equity, and service.

On his part, The Deputy National Coordinator, Christians Northern Nigerian Political Forum (CNNPF), Hon. Ibrahim Gabriel Itodo commended Rt. Hon Aminu Sani Jaji for his unwavering support to the plight of the Christian community in Northern Nigeria.

He said over the years, Hon. Jaji has been supporting the Christian community with trailer loads of rice for onward distribution to the underprivileged during Christmas and New Year celebrations.

“He said, Hon. Jaji is a detribalised Nigerian who sees and considers every Nigerian as his brother irrespective of religion or ethnic affiliation.”
