Key into Gov Alia’s Sports Devt Policy, Lobi Stars Media Chief, Uja tells Students

Head of Media, Lobi Stars Football Club, Mr Uja Emmanuel has advised students of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, to take advantage of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s sports development policy and bring honour to Benue state and Nigeria at large.

The Media Chief while speaking at the reception organized in honor of JOSTUM Tillers Football team, winners of the 2024 Varsity men’s football cup, commended Governor Alia’s administration for upgrading sports facilities across Benue state.

Uja disclosed that the recruitment process for coaches and athletes for Benue Sports Council is ongoing and urged youths to take advantage and engage themselves meaningfully in active competitions.

He said about 20,000 youths will be gainfully employed in Governor Alia’s sports development policy which cut across the 23 Local Government areas

Uja commended JOSTUM Tillers for winning the maiden edition of the Varsity cup, which align with Governor Alia’s sports policy.

On Lobi Stars Football Club’s performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League, Uja called for patience from fans, assuring that the team will bounce back and compete for top three positions.

He added that great clubs like Tottenham, who won almost every football trophy in Europe are passing through challenges.

He commended the Vice chancellor ,Council and Senate for their support towards the University Football Team and called for sustenance of same .
