Nigeria Police Force dismissed 3 officers for misconduct.

The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed three Police officers for misconduct.

This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Force Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who said the officers were dismissed after being seen in a viral video in Katsina State, firing their weapons in celebration of a famous artist.

According to the statement, the officers were tried and found guilty of misuse of firearms, abuse of power, gross indiscipline and wastage of live ammunition.

It listed the officers involved as Inspector Dahiru Shuaibu, Sergeant Abdullahi Badamasi and Sergeant Isah Danladi.

According to the statement, the punishment to the officers is to serve as a deterrent to others as the police will not tolerate any form of misconduct or unprofessionalism from any officer irrespective of his or her rank.
