President Bola Tinubu on Monday administered the oath of office to seven newly-appointed ministers in a formal ceremony held at the Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The ministers were sworn in across two batches, with four taking the oath in the first batch and three in the second. Their citations were read aloud by the State House Director of Information, Abiodun Oladunjoye, before each appointee took their oath.

Recall that the new appointments follow President Tinubu’s offloading of five ministers two weeks ago, leading to these nominations to ensure continuity and in his administration’s goals.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed ministers and their portfolios are:

Dr.

Nentawe Yilwatda – Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction

Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi – Minister of Labour & Employment

Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu – Minister of State, Foreign Affairs

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole – Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment

Idi Mukhtar Maiha – Minister of Livestock Development.

Yusuf Abdullahi Ata – Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development.

Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad – Minister of State, Education.

However, these new ministers are expected to immediately commence their roles and contribute to Mr Tinubu’s administration goals.
